CONTEXT

A VENDO brand partner in the handmade candle space wanted to run a cross-catalog 10-day promotion on Amazon for Mother’s Day. The brand was limited in marketing capabilities as they had newly launched on Amazon and not all ASINs had been enrolled in FBA yet, and they additionally did not want to direct external traffic to Amazon out of concern of cannibalizing their DTC sales. Within these parameters, VENDO executed a fully on-Amazon comprehensive marketing campaign.

Tactics

  1. Run coupons on all FBM ASINs and Prime Exclusive Discounts on all FBA ASINs.  
  2. Create a unique brand store landing page promoting the Mother’s Day campaign.
  3. Set up a headline search ad driving to the brand store landing page, targeting event-based KWs and using event-based copy to create a seamless customer journey.
  4. Partner with Amazon Live influencers to promote the event via livestream.  

Conclusion

  1. +64% Orders from the brand store landing page during the campaign.
  2. Running headline search ads provided insight into how to leverage the brand store to make the shopping journey easier for customers to find the product they are looking for.
  3. Amazon Live streams featuring the brand generated a total of 22k+ views, indicating how partnering with influencers was an effective way to increase awareness of the event.
