One of VENDO’s top-performing dietary supplement brands experienced a noticeable drop in average product ratings—not due to product quality, but due to external factors including delayed shipping, damaged packaging, and isolated customer service complaints. These reviews were eroding trust and harming product credibility to new buyers.

To restore rating integrity and protect brand equity, VENDO launched a targeted review cleanup initiative aligned with Amazon’s community guidelines.

Tactics

Audit & Identification VENDO conducted a detailed review audit across affected ASINs. The team flagged reviews that:

  • Focused on shipping or fulfillment issues unrelated to product quality
  • Appeared to be duplicates or potentially fraudulent
  • Violated Amazon’s content guidelines
  • Reporting & Removal

    Using Amazon’s moderation tools, the flagged reviews were submitted for removal through the appropriate channels. VENDO provided specific rationale for each, resulting in the successful removal of 33 low-rated or misleading reviews across key listings. This cleanup led to a lift in average ratings from 4.2–4.3 to 4.4–4.5, improving buyer trust at the point of purchase.
